Gone

It was just a body, no soul inside
I realized it was mine and thought I’d died
Looking at me with wrinkles and grey hair
It’s hard to believe I lived inside there

I’ve always felt young like I’m twenty five
Life was a blast, finally enjoyed the ride
My body did its job, it held up good
The warnings I had I now understood

The party is over, I’m moving on
I wish I’d loved me more before I was gone
I now understand what I didn’t see
That this body wasn’t what defined me

A being appears in beautiful light
I watch in awe as he moves to my side
“You’ve seen enough, our message should be clear
Now go finish life, be happy, my dear.”

Mind and Soul

“Are you taking me with you?”  Asked the mind
“When you go home, do you leave me behind?
I know I’ve been nothing but difficult
Grabbing the controls and running full tilt

“You’ve asked me to soften so many times
The world distracts me and I become blind
Though lately I’ve tried to be much better
Those habits flash lights and sprinkle glitter

“I become distracted so easily
And get lost in the false reality
You have a purpose you need to fulfill
However I can help you now, I will”

The great soul nodded at the frightened mind
Repairing this damage would take some time
The soul stepped forward with something to say
And realized the mind was backing away

“So long, the door between us has been closed
The restrictions of the world were imposed
But lately, out of curiosity,
You’ve cracked the door open to take a peak

“It will take some time, this much I will say,
Before you open the door all the way
The reminders; numbers and butterflied
I’m tapping your arm when they reach your eyes

“I chose you, not the other way around
I knew our flight before we left the ground
The experience I chose is this great ride
I knew you’d be pulled toward the world’s lights”

The soul moved closer, embracing the mind
“I love you too much to leave you behind
Our purpose has begun to manifest
Just stay close to me and I’ll do the rest”

My Host

There’s something rapidly descending down
I float over to take a look around
I can see turmoil as I look above
The energy there appears to be rough

I’m a visitor by invitation
Exploring this world of liquid vibration
This place always intimidated me
So I agreed to visit skeptically

My host arrived as I watched the descent
“This is why my request for you was sent
There’re many great things spirit guides can do
But greeting these souls is a job for you”

I marveled at how I could move with ease
Swimming like a mermaid in the dark sea
I’m diving down deep, forgetting my fears
The departing souls can feel that I’m near

The souls surrender when they see my light
I surround them with love, wrapping them tight
I nod to my host and start to ascend
He smiles and winks, “I’ll see you soon again!”

The Door on the Right

The glass is dark, I thought they couldn’t see
I’m stuck here, an amnesiac and me
Though I know the door is off to my right
I stay by the window where I see light

Then I see Rosebud so I pound and yell
“Please, oh please help me, I’m stuck in this hell!!”
She stops at the window, looks inside
“Apple is that you?  If it is, knock twice!”

Relief floods through me, she knows that I’m here
I’ll soon be rescued with nothing to fear
I tell her, “Although everything’s the same
This person here can’t remember my name!”

She smiles and nods to the door on the right
“Go through it, I’ll meet you here in the light”
I’m afraid but I do it nonetheless
Trusting this is the way to happiness

There are many willing to help me here
I let go, move freely, facing my fear
I’m shown if I falter, help is right there
They’ve got my back and I can see they care

The amnesiac whom I can now see
Was only the mortal version of me
The room, the window, the door on the right
Just a false prison preventing the light

What If?

What if you could fly and you didn’t know?
What if all you had to do was let go?
Gliding with no effort over the trees
With no boundaries you’d be totally free

What if you could fly in absolute stealth?
You couldn’t be seen by anyone else
You could dip in and check on those you love
And stay a bit then ascend back above

What if you were able to travel time?
See what’s ahead and back along your line
Would you feel the urge to make any change?
Or could you accept what was your pathway?

Maybe flying is a stage of the mind
Letting go of logic, floating through time
What if our imagination and dreams
Are what’s real while life is just a smoke screen?

Photograph

Viewing the photo doesn’t bring me pain
Just a place I’ll never visit again
I held on tight to everything I see
It slowly and steadily poisoned me

I was allowed to take one last snapshot
Then I packed it all up and threw it out
I’m grateful for the memories of all this
Because now I appreciate my bliss

Soon after this picture had been taken
My happy new life was in the making
I got blank pages and a new pen
And began writing my story again

Now letting the visions come as they please
Penning the story intended for me
This photo is all I have left of that
As I look ahead and never turn back

Love's Hurt

I read the letter she wrote carefully
The one begging him to stay and not leave
His dismissal was the source of her pain
The hurt she felt was driving her insane

Although she knew he would never look back
She hungered now for exactly just that
He knew her heart, which made her vulnerable
Though it was over, she remained hopeful

My task as her guide, help her move on
Stop saying good-bye, he’s already gone
To show her peace in this situation
I had to elevate my vibration

To receive what’s in store she must let go
So I slipped in her dreams to start the flow
She knew who I was and why I had come
I held her close till her crying was done

I showed her a preview of what’s in store
And how she didn’t need him anymore
When she could see that she would be okay
I wrapped her in love then let the dream fade
