He saw her there with that beautiful smile
Everything about her just drove him wild
Short blond hair with highlights of brown and gold
She was such an awesome sight to behold
Alexis was private, kept to herself
But trusted him more than anyone else
She shared her dreams and insecurities
Knowing he'd guard her secrets carefully
She's approaching him wearing a blue dress
"I've missed you, my beautiful Alexis"
He exclaimed, running into her embrace
And began kissing her familiar face
The smell of her rose perfume made him cry
He brought her yellow roses many times
He sobbed, "You're my true love but you left me
I've been tortured with pain and misery"
She held his face in her beautiful hands
"This is so hard for you to understand
My fate was decided in a quick flash
My mortal life ended in that car crash
"Know you're still my love and I'm always near
Whenever I can, I'll visit you here"
Then, "Alexis, please let me come with you!"
But she was already fading from view
He opened his eyes, still smelled her perfume
The rose essence permeated his room
He turned to the place where she laid her head
And saw a yellow rose there on the bed

Gone
It
was just a body, no soul inside
I
realized it was mine and thought I’d died
Looking
at me with wrinkles and grey hair
It’s
hard to believe I lived inside there
I’ve
always felt young like I’m twenty five
Life
was a blast, finally enjoyed the ride
My
body did its job, it held up good
The
warnings I had I now understood
The
party is over, I’m moving on
I
wish I’d loved me more before I was gone
I
now understand what I didn’t see
That
this body wasn’t what defined me
A
being appears in beautiful light
I
watch in awe as he moves to my side
“You’ve
seen enough, our message should be clear
Now
go finish life, be happy, my dear.”
